Noah's Ark

Our Bible story for September was Noah's Ark.  On Monday, we read and discussed the story of Noah's Ark and then made our very own ark.  The students also enjoyed playing with a Noah's ark playset as one of our centers.  We talked about how a rainbow represents God's promise to never flood the Earth again.  The students really enjoyed the Bible story and the activities!

For morning work one morning this week, the students used their fine motor skills with big tweezers to sort fruit into baskets.

Painting pumpkins for the school's hallway bulletin board.

Creating with snap blocks.
During circle time, the students practiced their letter recognition skills by drawing a magnetic letter out of a box and matching it on the appropriate letter on the dry erase board.

During one of our centers we played ABC bingo for lowercase letters.  The students did a great job recognizing and naming letters and had a lot of fun playing this game.

Tangram puzzles.
At another center this week, the students built awesome structures with our wooden building blocks.
